How to play Chess
Choose an AI difficulty and play as White, Black or a random side. Select a piece, then choose a highlighted destination to make a legal move.
Protect your king, develop your pieces and look for a checkmate. Rotate the board if another view helps, and choose your promotion piece when a pawn reaches the far rank.

PC controls
- Click or tap your piece, then a highlighted destination to move
- Drag left or right to rotate the board 360°; drag up or down to change the viewing height. Use the compass to reset your view
- Choose Queen, Rook, Bishop, or Knight when promoting a pawn
- Settings adjust sound, legal move guides, shadows, motion, and board zoom
- Keyboard controls: enter a piece square (e2), select it, then enter its destination (e4)
- Restart or resign through the match controls; Game Hub returns to the catalog
