How to play 8 Ball Billiards

Aim with the mouse or touch, set the power and take your shot. Fine-tune your aim with the arrow keys and use Cue Spin for follow, draw or side spin.

Pot your assigned solids or stripes before the 8 ball. Follow the highlighted legal targets; a foul gives the next player ball in hand, letting them choose a legal cue-ball position.

8 Ball Billiards game modes

1. Play the house. Challenge five computer difficulty levels.
2. Local two-player. Share the same device and take turns with a friend.
3. Practice. Work on aiming, power and spin at your own pace.

Tips and tricks

• Think about where the cue ball will stop, not just which ball to pot.
• Use a controlled shot when position matters more than power.

PC controls

• Move the mouse or tap the table to aim. Set the power slider, then press Take the shot; you can also drag backward along the cue and release
• Left and right arrows refine aim; hold Shift for finer adjustments. Up and down arrows adjust power, and Space shoots
• Open Cue Spin to choose follow, draw, or side spin
